Belgium's people successfully brought reconciliation among different communities when the Constitution was amended and created a Community Government.
To resolve this conflict, Belgium's Constitution (law book) was amended four times between 1970-1993. The amended Constitution specifies that members of both communities will be in equal numbers at both state and central levels. And the state government will not be subordinate to the central government. No single community can take decisions unilaterally. It also led to the formation of a third government called 'Community Government' to look at linguistic, cultural, and educational affairs, Which is elected by the people belonging to one linguistic group- French, Dutch, and German-speaking no matters where they live.
