Detailed Solution

Humayun tomb was built by Akbar.
The third Mughal emperor Akbar, Humayun's son, built Humayun's Tomb in 1560 under his patronage. It was far grander than any tomb previously made in the Islamic world. Persian and Indian artisans worked together to create the garden tomb. The four-quadrant garden with pools joined by channels represents the fabled four rivers of Quranic Paradise. Humayun's Tomb is an example of the Char Bagh. Before Mughal architecture reached its zenith 80 years later, the Taj Mahal, the grand dynastic Mausoleum, Humayun's Tomb in Delhi, had become synonymous with Mughal architecture. The mausoleum stands within a complex of 27.04 hectares.
