Detailed Solution

Hydraulic press is based on Pascal's law.
Pascal’s law states that when pressure is applied to a confined fluid, there will be a pressure change in the entire fluid. A large piston exerts a mechanical force on the liquid in a hydraulic press. On the other side of the cylinder, a smaller area piston changes this force into high pressure. The force is the same but areas are different for both the pistons.
