Hydrogen is an abundance around the sun but not around the earth ? Explain.

The escape velocity on the sun is greater than the r.m.s velocity of the hydrogen. The gravitational pull of the sun is very large because of its large mass compared to that of the earth. So, it is very difficult for hydrogen to escape from the sun's atmosphere. But the escape velocity on the earth is less than the r.m.s velocity of the hydrogen. So hydrogen is the abundance around the sun and less around the earth.
