Detailed Solution

Hypothalamic hormone which is significantly increased to start spermatogenesis is GnRH.

Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), is a hypothalamic hormone that plays a crucial role in initiating and regulating the process of spermatogenesis in males.

GnRH is produced and released by neurons in the hypothalamus and acts on the anterior pituitary gland. It stimulates the pituitary to release two important gonadotropins: luteinising hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). In males, LH and FSH play key roles in the development and maturation of sperm in the testes.

LH stimulates the Leydig cells in the testes to produce testosterone, which is necessary for the initiation of spermatogenesis. FSH, on the other hand, stimulates the Sertoli cells in the seminiferous tubules to support and nurture developing sperm cells during spermatogenesis.
