Ibn Battuta, a Moroccan traveller, made extensive trips throughout the medieval world. Ibn Battuta paid a visit to Muhammad Bin Tughlaq, whose court was patronised by several scholars. He spent thirty years travelling, stopping in China, the Iberian Peninsula, Central Asia, Southeast Asia, and South Asia. He arrived in India when the Delhi Sultanate was in power. The prince who moved the capital of the Delhi Sultanate from Delhi to Daulatabad was the king of India at the time. In 1334, he arrived in India.
