It is the largest body responsible for coordinating, conducting, and directing teaching agriculture to the masses. Since its establishment, a remarkable change in the production of food crops and other grains can be seen easily. It became more effective after the Green Revolution in the late 1950s. And with the help of ICAR, the proper use of these available facilities was made understood to the masses.
