Hindustan Socialist Republican Association is the full form of HSRA.
Ram Prasad Bismil and his friends founded a revolutionary group, the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA), in 1928. It aimed to oppose British rule in India and to bring about the nation's independence through an armed uprising if required. This organisation committed numerous robberies and raids to earn money to purchase weapons and ammunition. The most well-known instance of the Kakori conspiracy happened on August 9th, 1925. Bhagat Singh, Chandrasekhar Azad, Jatin Das and Ajoy Ghosh were the famous leaders of the movement. However, Bhagat Singh was executed by the colonial government due to his attempt to blow up the train on which Lord Irwin was travelling.
