Identify the difference between inherited and acquired traits.

Concept: Traits can be defined as characteristics of a certain organism that set them aside from other organisms or that can help in their identification. Traits can be divided into two types, acquired traits and inherited traits.
Inherited traits in progeny are from the parents, they are genetically embedded, whereas acquired traits are due to environmental factors, they have no effect on genetic makeup.
