Detailed Solution

Mahatma Gandhi went to organise the Satyagraha Movement amongst cotton mill workers at Ahmedabad in 1918.
Following the Champaran Satyagraha, a significant uprising in the Indian Independence struggle was the Satyagraha in the Gujarati city of Ahmedabad. It was organised by Mahatma Gandhi and supported cotton mill employees. The mill workers in Ahmedabad demanded better wages and vowed to assist Gandhi wholeheartedly throughout this Satyagraha. They marched through the streets with banners calling for a settlement. Moreover, Gandhi instructed the employees to fast until they reached a compromise to foster cooperation and solidarity. The fast, however, extended for three days since it impacted the mill owners. Finally, a deal between mill owners and workers was finalised.
