Detailed Solution

Given, the quadratic polynomial
fx=x2-x-4
Now the standard quadratic polynomial can be given as,
fx=ax2+bx+cNow sum of roots for this equation
α+β=-ba
So, for our equation,
α+β=-(-1)1
α+β=1
Product of roots, αβ=c/a
So, for our equation,
αβ=(-4)1
αβ=-4
Thus,
1α+1β-αβ
=α+βαβ-αβ
=1-4--4
=-14+4
=154
Correct option is 1.
