$f (2) = 2$

$\Rightarrow 16 + 12 + 2 a + b = 2$

$\Rightarrow 2 a + b = - 26 \to (1)$

$f (- 2) = - 2$

$- 16 + 12 - 2 a + b = - 2$

$\Rightarrow - 2 a + b = 2 \to (2)$

From $(1) & (2)$

$a = - 7$ , $b = - 12$

$∴$ $- 7, - 12$
