Let us consider the time taken by 20 men to build the same road be x days.
Then,

We can clearly observe that, more the number of men less the number of days.
Therefore, this is the case of inverse proportion.
As this is case of inverse proportion, therefore the product will remain constant throughout table that is,
40×10=20×x   Dividing both sides by 20,
x= 400 20  
x=20   Hence, the time taken by 20 men to build the road is 20 days.
