First, we have drawn a rectangular prism which is known as cuboid.
Now suppose that the rectangle prism has
Length = (l)
Breadth = (b)
Height = (h)
We know that the volume of the cuboid

volume = length \times breadth \times height

Put the value which are given

V = l \times b \times h = lbh

………..(1)

Again, we assume that the edges of prism is doubled then,
We have 2l, 2h and 2b put the value in the formula of volume we get,

v = 2 l \times 2 b \times 2 h = 8 lbh

…………..(2)
Now we have compared the equation (1) and (2)

v = 8 V

Hence, when we have doubled the edges of cuboid, then we obtain the volume 8 times.
Correct option is 4.
