Given that α  and β  are zeroes of the quadratic equation x²3x+p =0  such that 2α+3β=15

Determine the sum and product of zeroes. 

Sum of zeroes = -ba

α+β=-(-3)1

α+β=3 -----(1)

Product of zeroes = ca

αβ=p1

αβ=p -----(2) 

Put the value α=3β  in 2α+3β=15,  we get,

2α+3β=15

23β+3β=15

62β+3β=15

β=9  

From equation (1), we get,

α=3β  

α=39

α=6

From equation (2), we get,

p=αβ 

p=6×9

p=54

Hence, the value of p is 54.
