Let Px1,y1 be any point on the required locus. 

The equation of the midpoint chord is S1=S11
xx1-yy1=x12-y12

This can be written as 

y=x1y1x+y12-x12y1

If the above line is tangent to the parabola y2=4ax

Condition for tangency is c=am

y12-x12y1=ax1y1y12a=x1y12-x12

Therefore, the required locus is y2x-a=x3
