If, in a circuit, three unidentical bulbs are connected in series, then the current is the same for all the bulbs, whereas the potential difference will be different for the three bulbs.
If three identical bulbs are connected in series, then the current flowing through the three bulbs is the same. In contrast, the potential difference across the three bulbs will be different as the potential drop across each will be different because of their resistances.
