If ‘K’ and ‘L’ shells of an atom are entirely filled, then the total number of electrons in that will be 10.

According to the Bohr-Bury scheme, the maximum number of electrons present in a shell = 2n2. Where "n" is the orbit number. ‘According to this rule, 'K’ and 'L’ shells of an atom can have a maximum of 2 and 8 electrons respectively. If these are completely filled, the total number of electrons in an atom is 2+8=10.
