Subtracting 7 on both sides, we get,

Subtracting 3x on both sides, we get,
10x−3x=3x−35−3x 7x=−35
Dividing by 7 on both sides, we get,
7x 7 = −35 7 x=−5
So, the value of the variable x is -5.
