On squaring both sides, we get
sin2θ+cos2θ+2sinθcosθ=a2 
sinθ+cosθ=a212........(ii) 
and sin3θ+cos3θ=b  
(sinθ+cosθ)33sinθcosθ(sinθ+cosθ)a=b  [fromeqs.(i)and(ii)] 
2a33a3+3a=2b 
a3+3a2b=0......(iii) 
But given that, λa3+μb+vc=0........(iv)
From equations(iii) and (iv), we get
λ=1,μ=3andv=2 
Now, λ3+μ3+v3=13+(3)3+(2)3=127+8=18
