We know that the general term of an arithmetic progression having first term a common difference d is an=a+n-1d

Given that 19th term is zero, so that a+19-1d=0

It implies that a+18d=0

We want to find the ratio of 49th term and 29th terms is T49:T29

Hence,

T49T29=a+48da+28d =-18d+48d-18d+28d =30d10d =31

Therefore, the ratio of 49th term and 29th term is 3:1
