The angle of incidence is the angle between the incident ray and the normal and angle of reflection is the angle between the normal and the angle of reflection. Since the angle of incidence and angle of reflection are adjacent to each other, the angle between the incident and reflected ray is the sum of the angle of incidence and the angle of reflection.

According to the law of reflection, angle of incidence is always equal to the angle of reflection
