Detailed Solution

Given,
Perimeter of the square= circumference of circle
Suppose
Radius of circle bar= r.
Thus, the area of circle,
A= πr2.
Its circumference
=2πr
Let a is the side of the square. As, perimeter of the square= circumference of circle. Thus,
4a=2πr
a=πr2
So, Area of Square,
a2=πr22.
Thus, the ratio,
Area of circleArea of Square=πr2πr22
Area of circleArea of Square=4π
Area of circleArea of Square=4×722
Area of circleArea of Square=1411>1
Thus, area of a circle is greater than the square’s area.
