Given equations of curves are
  2x=y2          ...(i)
And   2xy=k          ...(ii)
Since curves intersect orthogonally,
(dydx)1(dydx)2=(1y)(yx)=1 or  x=1
So, from (i),  y=±2
Putting these values in equation (ii), we get 
k=±22
