Detailed Solution

Since the equations are consistent, so it has a solution.

Solving

   2x+3y+1=0

and 3x+y2=0

we get,

x=1 and y=1

It will satisfy the third equation, so,

         a2b=0 (ab)=2

Hence, the value of ( a - b) is 2.
