Detailed Solution

Given, the two parallel sides of the trapezium are 4 cm and 7 cm respectively.

Height of the trapezium = 8 cm.

Sum of parallel sides of the trapezium = 4 + 7 = 11 cm.

Area of the trapezium = 12x (Sum of parallel sides) x (Height).

 =12×11×8 =44 cm2

Therefore, the area of the trapezium is 44 cm2.
