Detailed Solution

Given,
Length (l) of a hall= 18m.
Width (b) of a hall= 12m.
We know that,
Area of the floor =l×b
Area of flat roof =l×b
Sum of the area of the floor and flat roof,
  =lb+lb =2lb
Substituting the values,
=2×18m×12m =432 m 2
Area of the four walls =2 l+b ×h .
The sum of the areas of the floor and the flat roof = sum of the areas of the four walls.                                                    432 m 2 =2 l+b ×h 432=2(18+12)h 432=60h h= 432 60 h=7.2
Thus, the height of the hall is 7.2 m.
Therefore, the given statement is false because the height of the hall is 7.2 m.
Correct option is 2.
