Length (l) of a hall= 18m.
Width (b) of a hall= 12m.
We know that,
Area of the floor

= l × b

Area of flat roof

= l × b

Sum of the area of the floor and flat roof,

= l b + l b = 2 l b

Substituting the values,

= 2 × 18 m × 12 m = 432 m 2

Area of the four walls

= 2 l + b × h

.
The sum of the areas of the floor and the flat roof = sum of the areas of the four walls.

432 m 2 = 2 l + b × h 432 = 2 (18 + 12) h 432 = 60 h h = 43260 h = 7.2
