Let the number of toys to be x.
Then the price of each toy will be ₹

(x + 2) 360 x − 2 = 360

(x + 2) 360 x − 2 = 360 360 + 720 x − 2 x − 4 = 360 720 x − 2 x − 4 = 0 720 − 2 x 2 − 4 x = 0

x 2 + 2 x − 360 = 0 x 2 + 20 x − 18 x − 360 = 0 (x − 18) (x + 20) = 0 Thus, x = 18 whereas x = − 20 (not valid)

x=18, since the number of toys cannot be negative.
