A no-confidence motion is passed when a vote is passed against a person in a position of responsibility who is seen to be unfit to hold that position, for example, if they are deemed to be inadequate in some aspect, making decisions that others feel detrimental or if they fail to carry out any obligations. This motion indicates that neither the head of the state nor the Parliament has confidence in the members of the elected government.If the vote of no confidence is passed against one single member of the Council of Ministers, the whole Council has to resign together.
