Let the mass of the body be m kg and the velocity of the body be v m/s.

 Momentum p=m×v 

Now, we will double the mass of the body, and the velocity of the body is reduced to half. 

So, the new mass of the body m1=2m

And, the new velocity of the body v1=v2

Now, new momentum,

p1=m1×v1

p1=2m×v2

p1=mv

Hence, p1 = p (it remains the same). 

Therefore, the momentum will remain the same.
