The resistance of a conductor depends upon the length, area of cross section nature of material and temperature. The resistance is directly proportional to the length, inversely proportional to area. For conductors, the resistance increases with increase in temperature due to increase in thermal vibrations of charge carriers, which increases the collisions and thus the flow of charges are hindered, increasing the resistance.
If the radius is increased by 4 times the area of wire will be 4 squared times that is 16 times the initial area of wire.
