If the recombination frequency in between ‘y’ and ‘w’ gene is 1.3%.  The recombination frequency in between w and m genes is 37.2%, if all genes present on the same chromosome.  What is the arrangement of genes on chromosome.

The recombination frequency is dependent on distance between genes under observation. If the genes are closely located ,their chances of recombination is very less and vice versa.

Based on the frequency of recombination the distance between genes and their sequence on a chromosome can be identified.
