If we construct a quadrilateral BEAR in which BE = 6 cm, EA = 7 cm, RB = RE = 5 cm and BA = 9 cm. The measure of its fourth side is 5 cm.
Constructing the quadrilateral to find the fourth side:
First, we will draw the line BE = 6 cm. Taking B as center drawing an arc BR=5cm. Now taking E as center draw an arc of EA = 7 cm. Drawing another arc BA that is equal to 9 cm such that B is center and which intersects the arc AE. And again, drawing another arc ER that is equal to 5 cm such that E is center and which intersects the arc BE. Now joining BR, ER and AR which gives us fourth side AR= 5cm.
