If we put a blue ball between the light source and the screen, then the colour of the shadow would be black.
It doesn't matter what colour the ball is because the shadow will always be black. After all, the ball is an opaque object and completely blocks the light. The definition of an opaque object does not permit light to pass through it. Transparent objects don't cast shadows but allow light to pass through them. Translucent objects only permit a small amount of light to pass through them.
