and γ+α=b3a3,γα=c3α3 Now, (1+α)(1+β)=1+(α+β)+αβ

=1b1a1+c1a1=a1b1+c1a1.                 .. (i)

Similarly, (1+β)(1+γ)=a2b2+c2a2   ... (ii)

(1+γ)(1+α)=a3b3+c3a3   …(iii)

Multiplying Eqs (i), (ii) and (iii), we get

{(1+α)(1+β)(1+γ)}2=a1b1+c1a1a2b2+c2a2a3b3+c3a3=i=13aibi+ciai

Thus, (1+α)(1+β)(1+γ)=i=13aibi+ciai1/2
