If $P\left(A\right)=0.4,P\left(B\right)=0.8$ and $P(B/A)=0.6$ then $P(A\cup B)$ is equal to 

$P\left(A\right)=0.4,P\left(B\right)=0.8$ and $P(B/A)=0.6$

As $P(B/A)=\frac{P(B\cap A)}{P\left(A\right)}$

$\Rightarrow P(B\cap A)=P(B/A)P\left(A\right)=0.6\times 0.4=0.24$

Hence, $P(A\cup B)=P\left(A\right)+P\left(B\right)-P(A\cap B)$

$=0.4+ 0.8-0.24=0.96$
