Detailed Solution

 y2=8x

             4a=8 a=2 diff w.r.to x on both sides  dydx=82y=4y

Given focal distance x1+a=8 x1+2=8     x1=±6       sub x=6 then         y2=6×8        y=±43

points are 6, 43 & 6, -43

slope of normal at 6, 43 is m=±3

So,normal becomes y=±3x+c since it passes through the point (6,±43) then  ±43=±3(6)+c c=±103 c=103
