Cyclosporin A is a bio active molecule produced by the fungus Trichoderma polysporum. It suppresses the activity of certain immune cells, specifically T-cells, which are responsible for initiating an immune response against foreign tissues. By inhibiting these immune cells,  cyclosporin A helps to reduce the risk of organ rejection and allows for successful organ transplantation.
