Detailed Solution

In 1831, an armed rebellion against Russian rule took place.
The November Uprising (1830–1831), also known as the Polish–Russian War (1830–1831) or the Cadet Revolution, was an armed uprising against the Russian Empire in the centre of partitioned Poland. After the Russian occupation, the Polish language was banned from schools and replaced with Russian. An armed uprising against Russian rule occurred in 1831 but was ultimately put down. Following this, a large portion of the Polish clergy started employing language as a national resistance tool. Church services and all religious education were conducted in Polish. As a result of their unwillingness to preach in Russia, many priests and bishops were imprisoned or transported to Siberia by the Russian government.
