Detailed Solution

In 1918, Gandhi travelled to Ahmedabad to organise the Satyagraha movement.
The Ahmedabad Satyagraha was a major revolt in the Indian Independence movement. It was organised by Mahatma Gandhi and was the second Satyagraha movement to support cotton mill workers after the Champaran Satyagraha. Prices had risen, and mill workers in Ahmedabad were demanding higher wages. They had pledged their full support to Gandhi in his Satyagraha and paraded through the streets with banners demanding a settlement.
