Detailed Solution

In ancient India, teachers dictated portions of texts from their memory and students wrote them out without reading texts. There were two educational systems formed throughout the ancient times. They were the Vedic and Buddhist systems, respectively. The Vedic system utilised Sanskrit as its primary language, whereas the Buddhist system used Pali as its primary language. During that time, education was based on Vedas, Brahmanas, Upanishads, and Dharmasutras manuscripts. Manuscripts, as we all know, are handwritten records written on leaves, barks, skin, and other natural materials. As a result, they are exceedingly delicate when in use. As a result, teachers used to dictate the Vedas and Upanishads to their students in order to teach them. The pupils were able to write with this technique, but they were unable to read.
