Women constitute 46.1% of the workforce of the 28 European Union countries. Sweden and Norway have nearly 48%, and Denmark has around 47.4% female workforce. Iceland comprises 47% of the female workforce. Surprisingly, the good news is that men continued to get hired more frequently than women. As a result, the gap in employment rates started to decrease.
