It creates obstacles in its path to becoming a middle-income country and coming to the stage of developing economies. There are many reasons for constant poverty in the nation. The three main reasons are natural disasters, lack of infrastructure, and gender inequality. Bangladesh is situated on the Bay of Bengal and, thus, is associated with violent weather patterns like tsunamis and earthquakes, which cause a lot of destruction of human lives and properties and affect the markets. Also, the lack of proper social and economic infrastructure creates inefficiencies and obstacles in the country’s path toward progress. The third main reason is the gender inequality prevailing in its society which doesn’t let women come out to work in economic areas and become good human resources for the nation.
