In 1885, European powers met in Berlin to divide Africa.
In 1885 it was the period of supremacy of European countries as they went on voyages to find new pieces of land to colonize, benefit their trade and fill their pockets. In that era, European countries founded Africa, whose economy was predominantly based on land and cattle. Britishers founded rich resources in Africa and developed cheap labor out of African natives, who were then sent to America to work on the plantation of cotton and sugar, which was ultimately owned by European countries. This phenomenon ultimately resulted in the slavery of black people. So, to divide Africa's lands of Africa European countries met in Berlin in 1885.
