The significant places The significant place in Champaran, located in Bihar, is one of the significant places that are related to the historiography of Gandhi’s life because this was the first place in India where Gandhi set out for the protest mode of Satyagraha, which inspired many people to protest as well as fight against the oppressive British administration system. Champaran was the first place that unveiled the true potential of Satyagraha. Then, Rajkumar Shukla, an independence movement activist, first informed Gandhi about the Champaran problem and the problems of peasants and farmers through the Champaran. Later, India got its first president in the history of independent India when Dr Rajendra Prasad joined the independence movement.
