Detailed Solution

In 1920, a Calcutta session resolution was passed to initiate the Non-cooperation movement in support of Khilafat and Swaraj.
In the Calcutta session of the Indian National Congress in 1920, Gandhiji passed a resolution to initiate the non-cooperation movement, which had already been launched in support of Swaraj. Thus in support of the Khilafat Movement, this movement was launched nationwide with tremendous mass support. The objective of bringing together both campaigns was to gain a vast mass's support and unite Hindus and Muslims, which was an outstanding achievement. Hence Gandhiji worked towards the independence of India after joining the Hindu and Muslim communities.
