Detailed Solution

Given that,
In class A,
Number of students passed in first class = 20 and total number of students = 25.
In class B,
Number of students passed in first class = 24 and total number of students = 30.
Then,
The fraction of students passed in class A,
=2025
=45
and the fraction of students passed in class B,
=2430
=45
Since the denominator of both the fractions is the same therefore, they can be compared by comparing the numerators directly. So,
4=4
45=45
2025=2430
Since both the fractions are equal therefore both classes A and B have the same fraction of students getting 60% or higher grades.
Therefore, the correct answer is option (3).
