Given that there are 22 large buildings and 15 small buildings.
Each large building has 10 stories each, with 2 apartments on each floor.
So, the number of apartments in one building will be

= 10 × 2 = 20

Each small building consists of 12 floors with 3 apartments on each floor.
So, the number of apartments in one small building will be

= 12 × 3 = 36

We are also given that there are 15 small buildings and 22 large buildings. So, the total number of apartments can be found as shown below.

= 36 × 15 + 20 × 22 = 540 + 440 = 980

Thus, the total number of apartments in the housing complex is 980.
