In a mixture of 60 lit milk and water are in the ratio 7 : 3. If 3 lit of water be added. Find the ratio of milk and water in the new mixture.

A mixture contains milk and water = 60 lit

Ratio of milk and water = 7 : 3

$7+3=10\times 6=60$

$3\times 6=18lit\to water$

After 3 lit water is added i.e., 18 + 3 = 21 lit

Then new ratio milk of water =  42 : 21 $\Rightarrow$ 2 : 1
