Detailed Solution

In a panchayat, the elected members are called Panch.
Panch is a member of the panchayat. Sarpanch is the head of the panchayat in the village. There are more than six lakh villages in India. Villages need electricity, road connection, and land records is not a small task. That's why effective power distribution and work management are needed for local governments. Panchayati Raj institutions were set up to solve this issue. Every village area is divided into wards, with one elected representative named Pach. People in the wards who have attained 18 years vote in the election of ward members or panches and choose their representatives.
